Link Centre Capital Campaign
The Heart of Tupelo Campaign has a goal of raising $2.5 million to be used toward eliminating the three mortgages, thereby providing more operating income for the Link Centre, the Girl Scouts and The Salvation Army. Also included in this goal is $1 million to establish an endowment to provide for physical plant maintenance and contribute to operations.
Your support of The Heart of Tupelo Campaign represents an investment in the interest of our entire community. Providing affordable space for a wide variety of nonprofit organizations enables groups to fulfill their respective missions in collaboration with others. The Link Centre’s location in the heart of the city makes these services easily accessible to those who need them most. The "heart" you and others show through your contributions to this campaign is exactly why Tupelo has remained a growing and thriving community, even during a weak national economy.
The possibilities for programming and events at Link Centre are limited only by the imagination. The impact of Link Centre’s organizations benefiting the surrounding neighborhood has been tremendously positive, particularly for families and children. Since Link Centre officially opened its doors in 2002, its success has exceeded all expectations, but there is much work yet to be done.
Celebration Campaign (Link Centre Annual Fund)
During the Holiday Season, people become more aware of the blessings in our lives and in the lives of those we love. As well, citizens become more aware of the activity of those in our community who attempt to help the less fortunate.
Here at the Link Centre we see the daily struggle of members of our community and the positive impact our Link Centre agencies have in the lives of our fellow neighbors.
The Link Centre provides a facility and environment that fosters a meaningful connection between arts-based and social service organizations in Northeast Mississippi, offering an opportunity for centralized access to a variety of social services, especially those benefiting at-risk children and youth. Our members provide beauty through music, hope through research and support, and joy through lifting up the community as a whole.
Celebration Campaign was created to provide income to ensure adequate maintenance of the Link Centre and to help with operating funds to help keep costs down for our members for next year.
Candy Cane Campaign – “Children Helping Children” Coin Drive
This elementary school-focused campaign allows students the opportunity to make an impact in Tupelo by helping the Link Centre aid children in our community. Our goal is to have all students participate by making a gift of whatever change they may be able to contribute. Every penny, nickel, dime, and quarter will help.
Each school is provided with a festive candy cane and gift box in which students and teachers may empty their coins. The school that collects the most money wins the coveted Candy Cane trophy and will have its school name on the plaque at the Link Centre.
