| Our Mission: Dr. Roth-Wall has worked with children for over 20 years.
For many years, she was a professor and developmental psychologist, teaching about children in colleges and universities. More recently, she has re-specialized as a clinical psychologist in an APA-Approved program. She trained at Harvard University and the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.
Her recent training has been more local: she completed her APA-approved internship at the University of Alabama-Birmingham (UAB), and her year of postdoctoral residency at the University of Tennessee – Memphis. She is licensed as a psychologist in Mississippi and Tennessee.
Currently, in addition to her private practice, Dr. Roth-Wall is an Adjunct Professor for the University of Mississippi in Oxford.
Dr. Roth-Wall conducts child and family therapy and psychological testing for children with:
o ADHD
o Autism and Asperger’s disorder
o Behavioral problems
o History of child abuse
o Developmental delay or mental retardation
o Depression and anxiety
o Divorce or family problems
o Learning disabilities
She practices cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy and solution-focused family therapy. She has worked in pediatric neuropsychology, an ADHD clinic, a newborn follow-up clinic, and on a behavioral medicine consult team. She has administered all the major assessments for children and adults.
Dr. Roth-Wall say, “I have assessed and treated children of all ages, beginning with preverbal infants. I can engage and delight children at almost any age, which means I can comfort them, elicit their cooperation and compliance, and help them heal.”
Her past research was conducted with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers on the topics of early language and cognitive development, and was funded by grants from the National Institute of Mental Health (NIMH) and the March of Dimes Foundation.
Dr. Roth-Wall is a member of the American Psychological Association and the Mississippi Psychological Association.
